to a recent string of robberies in that very city. it happened this latest one on 3900 block of bryant street not far from johnson park. a woman in her 50s was beaten and thrown to the ground. that man then took off with her purse. they released this sketch. they did this last week of a man believed to be responsible for two other incidents. one on ramona street. in each of those cases, the robber did have a similar description. >>> the alameda county sheriff is expected to make another pitch today to purchase a drone that would keep tabs on the east bay from above. the $32,000 unmanned aircraft would be used for missions ranging from hazmat and hostage situations to search and rescue, suspect searches and also natural disasters. the sheriff needs the approval of county supervisors to buy the drone and the faa will have the final decision on whether to actually allow it to launch. >> 6:05 right now. time to check that weather. christina loren tells us this forecast is for all of the lovers out there. >> especially the lovely ladies in the house. 6:05. a live look at san jose. let's face it. t

the practices around social emotional learning and embed in the city of oakland that we belong to each other and i tell you what when so many of the students have been murdered over the last three and a half years i have been there and up to 85 homicides in the city this year it is a place and space of despair and lack of hope. i have tremendous respect for our law enforce .. we have been doing restorative justice work with the police department and with the teachers. people are saying enough is enough and i have in fact have to change to seek transformation. i mean we have to -- the saying cornell west that justice is the public face of love. if in fact we want that to be true we have to be just with one another and i think that's what we're trying to do in oakland.
